Noah Jordan trained at the Art Students League of New York under master artists Costa Vavagiakis, Michael Grimaldi, and Sharon Sprung—renowned for her official White House portrait of Michelle Obama. He studied intensively at the League for almost seven years, serving as class monitor for both Vavagiakis and Sprung before becoming Sprung’s teaching assistant, highlighted by his work with her during a portrait workshop at the Florence Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. He was selected for the League’s prestigious, fully funded Career Development Program led by Marc Dennis, and now works as his lead assistant. He holds a BFA in Drama from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and an MA in Spiritual Psychology from USM.
Jordan’s awards include the Robert Y. Kimura Merit Scholarship, “Best in Show,” and multiple Honorable Mentions at the Phyllis Harriman Mason Gallery. His work has been featured by Beautiful Bizarre Magazine, Vasari Oil Paint’s blog, and Linea, the League’s quarterly journal. He was awarded a residency at The Alchemy in Los Angeles and was a finalist in The Artist’s Magazine’s 33rd Annual Art Competition. He has exhibited in New York City in both curated group shows and solo presentations in boutique venues.
